These are all qualities typically attributed to a separate consciousness, a mind, or soul. What are some common ways that philosophers have addressed these issues, and what does the Bible say?

What is “apologetics” and why is it important for the Christians to know about it? What role does apologetic play in evangelism? In strengthening our walk with Christ? In an increasingly secular, and sometimes hostile, culture, how ought Christians best prepare to engage with opposing beliefs?
Pastor Marc addresses what apologetics is and the important role it plays in the Church.
In Luke chapter 1 we find the account of John’s miraculous conception, through events that were not hidden from anyone. The one who would “prepare the way for the Lord” was announced very publically, making the arrival of Christ a known and anticipated event, not the seemingly stealth entrance we so often picture it as.
The Gospel story does not begin with a baby in a manger, but “In the beginning” with the sovereign King and Creator. We begin our trek through the life of Christ in the first chapter of John’s Gospel where he describes Jesus as the eternal Word of God which became a man to save us from our sin.
Pastor Marc was joined by Baylor University teacher of record and sociologist Kenneth Vaughan in answering on-the-spot questions from the congregation. Below is the full 1 hour event. As we reflect of the Resurrection of Christ this Easter, we also take a look at understanding the reasoning behind what many in our culture consider an outlandish claim: That Jesus Christ is THE only means to right relationship with God.
The fancy Latin term for it is “Imago Dei”. The Image of God. The Scriptures record God’s creation of man as something separate from and different than the creation of everything else. Mankind is created “in the image of God”. But what does that mean? In this session we take a look at some of the details philosophers and theologians have hammered out regarding this issue.
