In Luke 17 Jesus gives a teaching about The Kingdom of God. We see in Luke 17 and John 11 examples of how different people react to Jesus and His message.

In John 11 we see the account of Jesus’ friend Lazarus dying. Before we look at the lessons learned from his being raised, we first take a look at the grief experienced when Jesus did not show up in time for save him. What can these events teach us about our own experiences where God seems absent in our times of sorrow?

In Luke 17:1-10, Jesus gives a lesson on the importance of forgiveness and the faith it often takes to forgive. As followers of Him who has forgiven us so much, we also should be a people who forgive and offer grace to others.

In Luke 16:14-31 Jesus continues His point about trying to serve two masters, namely the Pharisees’ veneer of religious piety and their love of money. Through the example of their disobedience, Jesus points us to what our true priorities should be.
