Christmas is not only a celebration of the birth of the Savior, but also of the King. Christ came the first time to teach and save, but His second coming will be another sort of event altogether. What will happen when the King returns, and what does it mean for Christians and for our celebration of Christmas?
The world stands in a state of brokenness because of sin, the hearts of mankind in bondage. Christ came, not only to teach us how to be good, but to free us from our bondage to sin that we might actually become who He created us to be.
As we continue preparing for Christmas, we now turn our reflections to Christ as a healer, not only on the streets of ancient Israel, but also in our lives today.
As we lead up to the celebration of Christmas, we take a look at the person of Jesus Christ, who He is, and why it matters to our lives today. We see in Scripture that not only was Jesus a carpenter by trade in his home town of Nazareth, but we also see that as God Himself, He is also the Master Carpenter.
